The Film Prize Jr. Virtual Festival begins Thursday, May 12th at 9 AM CDT!
All the films will be featured on the website www.filmprizejr.com Once the page opens scroll down.
The films are broken up into two categories, one is High School and the other is Middle School. Once you pick a film to watch, click on the name of the movie under the picture. This will open up the film page and you can see the movie poster, logline, and what the movie is about. Then click on the arrow, sit back, relax, and watch.
Donnie Bickham is participating in the Film Prize Jr. state competition for the first time. We have submitted 3 films to the competition this year. All films submitted by DBMS were written, acted, directed, filmed, and edited by students.
For virtual voting, viewers are asked to watch a minimum of three short films in either the middle school or the high school category (if you want to vote for both middle and high school films, you will list 6 different films total), then you will select your top three favorite films as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively. Any ballots found to be cast fraudulently or to skew the results of the competition will be deemed invalid and thrown out, so be sure to only vote ONCE.
If you want to see the movies on the big screen, the in-person festival begins Friday, May 13th at the Shreveport Convention Center and will run through May 14th. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 15th.

Congratulations to these and all the inductees to National Jr. Honor Society.
