Dear 7th/8th grade parents:
We are excited to inform you that we will have a Mardi Gras dance on Friday, February 9, 2024! Below we have listed information, guidelines and procedures that will make the event enjoyable for everyone.
The Mardi Gras dance will be from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Donnie Bickham gym. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased on locallevelevents.com from Monday, January 29 - Thursday, February 8. Concessions will be available for purchase.
This is a formal dance. Clothing should be appropriate for a middle school student. Two piece dresses will not be allowed. Also, dresses that are low cut in the back or front, have a high slit, skin tight knit dresses, or are super short will not be allowed. If your dress is strapless, you will need to wear a jacket. Boys should wear slacks and a nice shirt.
All 7th and 8th grade students must be at school for half a day in order to attend the dance.
Students who have been suspended or receive a major referral from Monday, January 8 to Friday, February 9 will not be allowed to attend the dance. (no refunds)
Court will be voted on the week prior to the dance and announced during the event. The requirements for nomination are a 3.0 gpa and no referrals from the current school year.
